Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use the tinor.io website, operated by Tinor. Paid Tinor services are governed by a separate written agreement.

Acceptance

These Terms of Use apply to your use of the tinor.io website (the “website”), operated by Tinor (“Tinor”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

The website and our services

The website provides information about Tinor, its platform, its products and its research. Descriptions of products, capabilities, plans and prices are for information and may change. Capability statuses such as Available, Limited Access, Experimental and Planned describe the current state and may change. Nothing on the website is an offer that can be accepted to form a contract.

Paid Tinor services are provided only under a separate written agreement between Tinor and the customer. That agreement governs those services and prevails over these terms for them.

Acceptable use

When you use the website, you agree not to:

  • use it in a way that breaks any applicable law or regulation;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its administration area or the systems behind it;
  • interfere with its operation, for example by overloading it, getting around rate limits or security measures, or introducing malicious code;
  • access it by automated means that ignore our robots.txt or place an unreasonable load on it; or
  • submit false information, spam, or other people’s personal information without their authority.

Intellectual property

The website and its content — including Journal articles, concept pages, text, graphics, design and software — are owned by Tinor or its licensors. The Tinor name, logo and other brand assets are Tinor’s marks.

You may read the website, share links to it, and quote short excerpts with attribution to Tinor and a link to the source page. You may download the research attachments published with Journal articles and run them to reproduce and check the results described in the related article. Unless a file states its own licence, no other right to copy, modify, distribute or commercially use the content is granted. Please do not use our name or marks in a way that suggests Tinor endorses you or your product.

Enquiries

When you send us an enquiry, please give accurate information. Sending an enquiry does not create a contract, a subscription or an obligation for either party. Do not send confidential documents or sensitive personal information through the form. How we handle the information you send is described in our Privacy Policy.

The website links to external sources such as standards, papers and documentation. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers

The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. They are for general information and are not legal, financial or other professional advice. Interactive demos, examples and scenarios marked as illustrative use fictional content: they do not show live data, live agents or results for any real business. How Journal articles state the evidence behind their claims is described in our Editorial Policy. We do not promise that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Tinor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit or business, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or its content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Governing law and disputes

If a dispute arises about the website or these terms, please contact us first at contact@tinor.io so that we can try to resolve it informally. These terms are governed by applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
